It's really impossible for us to know but we can give pretty good simulations. You see Science is techniccaly limited to what humans can observe. Seeing that the only way to observe the milky way is to travel 1,000,000 light years away is impossible you can't scientifically prove how many arms we have. How ever by calculating the distance, and right ascension of millions of stars we can get a good guess. Most pictures will agree that the Milky Way has something to the effect of 5 arms. It seems like much more because each arme loops around 3-4 times.

Hubble did not discover that there were other galaxies; that had been discovered earlier. But Hubble was the first to demonstrate that the more distant another galaxy is, the faster it is moving away from us. Edit: I'm not sure that's right. Hubble was surely the first to prove that a "spiral nebula" was too far away to be in the Milky Way. That nebula is what we now call the "Andromeda galaxy". I know that Slipher and others did important earlier work on red shifts, but I'm pretty sure Hubble did discover that other galaxies existed.

No. Not only is the Earth moving around the Sun, the Sun is traveling around the center of the Milky Way Galaxy in a path that takes about 220 million years to complete. In turn, the Milky Way Galaxy is also moving; at least, every OTHER galaxy is moving, and there is nothing special or unique about ours. So the Earth's path through the infinite Cosmos is shaped like a tightly-coiled Slinky stretching out for 4.5 BILLION years of travel! However, there is no way that we can prove that "space" itself isn't moving too!

The problem is that a black hole is inherently undetectable by any method except by its gravity. Since we aren't close to any black holes - and a good thing, too! - we're left with indirect evidence; point x-ray sources, for example. But there can be other causes besides gravity, and we cannot absolutely eliminate those other causes. So in many cases we're left with a strong suspicion of a black hole, but we're unable to prove it. And the Milky Way galaxy is quite large; there could be any number of black holes on the "other side" of the galaxy, where they would be essentially invisible.
