The thyroid gland itself doesn't necessarily affect a person's behavior. However, a thyroid condition can affect a person's mental health. Hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) can cause anxiety and irritability. Conversely, hypothyroidism (under active thyroid) can cause depression.

Pituitary gland affects our behaviors because its called the queen gland; it controls hormonal secretion and hence things like aggression, sexual behaviors etc.
