Plant cells are shaped like bricks because of there cell wall that supports the plants weight unlike animal cells that have no cell wall that look like blobs.

In general, plant cells have a more rigid shape due to the presence of a cell wall, whereas animal cells are more polymorphic and can change shapes to some extent
Plant cells are more rectangular shaped because of the cell wall while animal cells are any shape
Cell walls have a cell wall . Cell walls give the plant cells their regular shape. The boundaried of the cells determine the shape of the plant cells.

Animal cells are generally shapeless, though they tend to be somewhat oblong. Plant cells, however, are of a static shape because of the fact that they're protected by a cell wall (animal cells are protected by a cell membrane). Because of this difference, plant cells tend to be somewhat rectangular, or just generally a quadrilateral shape.

As it has a cell wall and a cell membrane it is more rigid than the animal cell, in other words the animal cell doesn't have a regular shape while the plant cell does.
