An electric bells are able to create noise by striking the bell with a weight. The weight is made of ferrous material so it will be attracted by a magnetic field.

An electric coil surrounds one end of the material, and a spring is positioned behind the striker. When the coil has electrical energy applied to it, a magnet field is generated. The striker presses itself against the spring as it is drawn towards the magnetic field. When the energy is removed from the coil, the magnetic field collapses and the striker returns to the resting position through the energy of the spring. The striker will overshoot slightly as it positions itself in the final resting place. When it does this, the striker connects with the bell.

Can an electric bell use an electromagnet?

Yes, an electric bell uses an electromagnet to work. When the electric current flows through the coil of wire in the electromagnet, it creates a magnetic field that attracts and repels the metal armature, causing it to strike the bell and produce sound.

Can the same electric bell work on AC as well DC 250v electric supply?

No, the two systems need a different coil resistance.

What is an electric bell used for?

it is like a door bell

In an electric bell the electric current stops again and again?

The electric bell and the electric current stops over and over again because of the fluctuations in voltages.

Will an electric bell work with ac source?

Yes it can work on ac source but u will need a different design keeping in mind about the polarity.

What are the parts of electric bell and its function?

A mechanical bell that uses electromagnets is called an electric bell. The parts of the electric bell are spring, hammer, gong, armature, armature rod, and electromagnet. The electric bell functions are different on account of there being different types of electric bells and different means of using them.

In electric bell electric energy is converted into which type of energy?

In an electric bell, electric energy is converted into mechanical energy to produce sound. This is done through the electromagnetic force acting on the metal clapper to strike the bell and create the ringing sound.

Is an electric bell a permanent magnet?

No, an electric bell typically contains an electromagnet rather than a permanent magnet. When current flows through the coil of wire in the bell, it generates a magnetic field that attracts an iron striker, causing the bell to ring.

Which effect of the electric current is used in electric bell?

The electromagnet effect is used in an electric bell. When the current flows through the coil, it creates a magnetic field that attracts the iron armature, causing the bell to ring.
