well mucus and hairs in one. when we breath in through our nose the epithiliated cells and mucus trap any pathagons that are in our nasal passages. then when we blow our noses the "snot" contains the pathagons and then we carry on :)

The first line of defense of your body is your eye-lids, skin, and nose. When bacteria are able to get past those the brain sends a variety of cells to fight the bacteria off such as the B cell or the T cell and even the mighty White-blood cell.

The Body has certain adaptation in which they kill bacteria such as acid in the stomach which kills bacteria and germs and cilliated epethilial cells in the, which i think are located in the nose, their job is trap dust from entering the lungs and they wave their hairs which grow from the cell to sweep mucus to the gullet to be swallowed...I hope I have helped.

  • You have your skin as a barrier
  • you have very strong acid in your stomach which can digest the microbes
  • Your eyes are covered by a layer of enzymes that stop microbes entering
  • The Vagina has a pH of 4.5 which means it isn't ideal living conditions of microbes, as 4.5 is an acidic pH
  • When you cut yourself, platelets in the blood form a scab, this stops pathogens getting into your blood

You can not. These organs have outlets to the outside and they can not be kept sterile. Your body does try to remove things by making mucous which more or less traps things like bacteria and even pollen and sweeps them away.
