Two ways acting together:

  1. cool water is sprayed over the grid of hot pipes at the base of the tower, producing a cloud of water vapor which begins rising up the tower slowly
  2. the constriction roughly two thirds the way up the tower forces the rising water vapor to accelerate, which greatly increases the draft

Why Cooling tower are hyperbolic in shape?

Contrary to popular belief, the shape of a hyperbolic natural draft cooling tower has nothing to do with the airflow through it. The airflow through the tower is generated by the difference in density of the warm, humid air inside the tower, versus the relatively cool, dense ambient air outside the tower. This density difference causes a natural "draft" also known as the chimney or stack effect. If the temperature of the air outside the cooling tower is less than the temperature of air inside the cooling tower, the dense air outside forces the hot, humid air inside to travel upwards and thus provides the natural ventilation. For this reason you can see openings at the bottom of the hyperbolic cooling towers (Natural Draft Cooling Towers). Plant cooling water is sprayed over "fill" which is usually a grid of thin PVC sheets arranged in a honeycomb, placed near the lower end of the tower, just above the air openings at the bottom. The water is cooled by the natural draft of the ambient air traveling up through the fill, while the water cascades down the fill. Originally, natural draft cooling towers were cylindrical in shape. As the design of these types of towers evolved, and the towers were made increasingly larger, the cylindrical shape was changed to hyperbolic, since a hyperbolic shape offers superior structural strength and resistance to ambient wind loadings. For a structure of the size of some of these towers, the wind loading can be substantial.

What are the causes of vibration in a induced draft cooling tower?

Causes of vibration in an induced draft cooling tower may include unbalanced fans, loose or worn fan belts, misaligned motor or fan shafts, or structural issues like loose bolts or deteriorating support structures. Regular maintenance, such as checking and adjusting fan components, aligning motor and fan shafts, and inspecting the tower's structural integrity, can help prevent vibration issues.

Where we can install the cooling tower And There is a company in which cooling tower is installed?

The Cooling tower is installed where the continuous heat rejection is required. Like process plants. Type is depends up on use & water property.

How cooling tower height is significant for cooling tower design?

There's quite multitude of things that impact a cooling performance. Specifically the height of the tower impacts on the the drafting air through the tower. See "Air Cooled Heat Exchangers and Cooling Towers" by Kroger for something more indepth.

What is wet cooling?

The only thing that I've heard of with "wet cooling" in, is a wet cooling tower. A Wet Cooling tower for the closed-circuit cooling of water where the water to be cooled comes into direct contact with the cooling air dissipating heat by evaporation and air heating. The air draught required for cooling can be induced by fans or by the natural effect of the stack of the cooling tower building (natural draught cooling tower). So I don't know if that answers your question or not, but i hope it helps...
