How early after conceiving can you take a home pregnancy test?

You can take a blood test 10 days after you conceived, and a home pregnancy test (hpt) 12-14 days (try first response you can take if 5 days before your missed period). Some doctors may not give you a blood test until after you miss a period just depends on the doc. If you can hold out I would suggest if the doc won't give you a blood test wait till the day you should expect you period to take a hpt for the best results.

Usually about the time when your missed period occurs you can take a home pregnancy test. Implantation can take anywhere from 6-10 days after ovualation to take place. Home pregnancy test measure the amount of HCG in your urine and that hormone is not released until implantaion occurs. If you test on the day of your missed period and a few days after and it is negative then wait a week and if you still don't get it then test again. Your levels of HCG double about every 48-72 hours in the beginning of pregnancy.

i did a test a week after unprotected sex and my result was positive. so i was classed as 4 weeks pregnant when i found out. they start a pregnancy from last day of your last period. hope that helps

It is said that you should take the test a few days after your first missed period. This way it is most accurate. If it comes up negative, you should wait 2 more weeks just to be sure.
