I think it varies for everyone. I know with my first pregnancy I had a lot of lower back and sciatica in my first trimester. It started around week 9. Then it went away for a few months and was back at the end. Just be careful because if it is very early and is cramp like it can sometimes be an indicator of miscarrying. I have also experienced this.

∙ 15y agoIt's different for everyone. Some experience it within the first few weeks, others around 6 months of pregnancy and some get no back pain

It could be a miscarriage, or the test was wrong.

Belly discomfort during pregnancy is caused by the baby growing and pushing all the organs upward. Also at some point the ribs have pressure put on them and start to open also causing back pain. The only thing I know of that helps is using extra pillows behind the back and one in between the legs.
