I disagree with the idea that all species of alligator are endangered. They are found all over the place in Florida, and southern Georgia, and other places in the Southeast USA. Come to Florida if you think the alligator is endangered, BUT BE VARY CAREFUL, since they are widespread in Florida.

First of all, its not a "white" alligator...its an albino alligator. Second, I guess you could say its "endangered," But it actually is just rare for an albino alligator to be born. So it sort of is endangered...but more in the rare catagory.

The American alligator is not an endangered species, in fact, they have become so common as to be a nuisance in some areas. The Chinese alligator is an endangered animal, however, with a wild population less than 2000.
