Different locations in Puerto Rico vary in expense to live or visit. The cost to vacation/ live is really high in San Juan. It has been compared to Miami in reference to prices. There are good values in some of the smaller and quaint towns on the north end of the island.
More or less the same to most states in the US. If you go to the touristy areas expect to pay more and the same for high-end spots, but for the most part is pretty much around the States price level... The state tax + city tax are kinda on the same level too. Most chains will have similar if not the same prices for some articles... For others, they are a bit more expensive (imperial marine tax)... Going to the movies is cheaper though.
Evey thing is just as expensive as in the US. Except for tourism which for the most part is even more expensive.
