The bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were atomic bombs and not nuclear bombs and were designed to explode above the ground and not on impact.
Yes they do because they have been remodeled and are beautiful than before. And radiation may only affect new borns. Otherwise it has no effect because both atomic bombs blew up above the two cities, Nagasaki, and Hiroshima. Also there was recent damage in Nagasaki because of an earthquake and sunami in 2011
The first atomic bomb was launched in 1945, by the US. It incinerated Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan during WWII The above is half true. That was the first time an atomic bomb was used in war, but the first atomic bomb was detonated at the the Trinity Site in White Sands Missile Range, on July 16, 1945.
august 6 1945 was the first and the second bomb was on august 9 1945.add. The first bomb exploded under the Manhattan Project was on July 16 1945, not long before the second and third bombs (above) were dropped in wartime.
The atomic bombs where the last attacks in World War 2. A uranium gun-type atomic bomb (Little Boy) was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, followed by a plutonium implosion-type bomb (Fat Man) on the city of Nagasaki on August 9. The first atomic bomb ever to be used in a military operation was dropped on the city of Hiroshima, Japan On August 6, 1945 at 8:16:02 a.m. Hiroshima time. The bomb, affectionately named "Little Boy," exploded 1,900 feet above the courtyard of Shima Hospital, with a force equivalent to 12,500 tons of TNT. The second bomb, called "Fat Man," exploded over Nagasaki, Japan, at 11:02 a.m. on August 9, 1945. It exploded at 1,650 feet with a force of 22,000 tons of TNT. 70,000 people lost their lives in Nagasaki by the end of 1945 due to the bombing. A total of 140,000 died within the next five years.
The atomic bombs did not land, they were detonated 2000 feet in the air above Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The 2nd atomic bomb dropped on Japan during WWII was on the industrial city of Nagasaki. The device a 10,200 lb implosion type plutonium bomb codenamed "Fatman" dropped from the B-29 Bockscar exploded 1,800 feet above the Nagasaki Industrial Valley at 11:02 JSP on August 9th, 1945.The primary target was Kokura but cloud cover prevented targeting so they diverted to the secondary target Nagasaki.

Depends on the size of the bomb (they come in many different sizes- bigger is more destructive) and how high the bomb is above ground when it explodes. Most are set to explode when several hundred feet above ground.

In the air above the target
If it does, it is not very effective. MOST are designed to explode when they are more than 1000 ft above the ground.
