It all depends on the training that the dog has had. Just like humans a dog can not get off the couch and do a 50 mile run. They have to start out slow and work their way up in training distances. Some of the top dogs in the world can run more than 120 miles in a 24 hour period. These dogs will have thousands of training miles in before they get to this level. They take breaks during these runs and do not run 120 miles straight through. Most will run in cycles of 4 hours on; 4 hours off or 6 hours on 6 hours off or whatever type of runs the trainer has conditioned them for.
