Chairs/Stands shall be venue appropriate and zone specific structures positioned as to provide an unobstructed view of the entire zone of patron surveillance responsibility for that lifeguard station. Swim near a lifeguard's chair. That means always swim in an area where someone is responsible for watching you, such as a lifeguard or an adult that you know
You don't really need any experience in the sport of competitive swimming. Obviously, you need to know how to swim and be of age and you must take a lifeguard class and test which usually involves having to swim about a 300 I believe
Because it is considered dangerous; if someone was to be accidentally knocked unconcsience and floated down and drowned, he/she would be hard to save unless there was a qualified lifeguard there.
You could be a lifeguard.
The lifeguard tube is used to assist the lifeguard in the event that they have to enter the water for a save. The lifeguard will jump into the pool and use the tube to support themselves as they keep their eye on the victim and swim towards them. The tube can then be placed either under the victim, used to support a backboard, or extended toward the victim to grab onto.
It really depends on what kind of a swimmer you are. If you can swim really well, you can probably swim really far. If you can't swim at all, you won't swim very far. I hope this answers your question.
