I believe the law is 5 feet on either side. Can someone confirm?
It is not an issue of "blocking" as some think. It is an issue of ease of use for the individual who owns the drive. Just because someone can get out of their drive, does not mean you are far enough away.
NOTE: If someone breaks the law and parks too close to your drive in the winter and you slide into them, it is your fault, not theirs.
You must park 5 feet away from a driveway.
If it's a public driveway then the property owner can charge. If it's a private driveway to a house then no you can't and shouldn't charge to park.
Yes it is not illegall for someone to park right across the street in front of your driveway
That depends on your driveway, and your local laws.
It could be deemed as trespassing, which is illegal.
Hello, Before you park the car I guess you drive on..."it" ... Driveway ;) parkit doesn't sound good parkway sound like a street or something.
4 Feet from either edge of driveway.
Usually the owner of park.
You can also park in a parking lot and drive in a driveway
As one who has received tickets for parking in my driveway in L.A. here's what I know. You cannot block any part of the sidewalk. It used to be 33% but that's not the case any longer. You can park in your driveway but if the slightest bit of the bumper is in the sidewalk they'll nail you. And smile while doing it.
no you cannot park on a dropped curb, you can have your car towed away,
Of course you can. Your driveway is private property.
