I have purchased several shotguns including the Charles Daly. The easy answer is yes it is worth purchasing; however, be aware that you get what you pay for. I am guessing that your interest is in purchasing a shotgun in the $300 to $400 range. My Charles Daly has so far proven to be reliable with proper maintenance and I would recommend these for the price. It is not the same quality gun as a Browning, Benelli or Beretta, and I suspect does not have the "snob" factor associated with these other manufacturers. What Charles Daly does provide is a simple, lightweight shotgun at an affordable price. In this same price range a person might consider a quality pump action shotgun such as the Benelli Nova or Remington 870. In my case I already owned a Nova and simply wanted an inexpensive semiautomatic for field use.
If you meant daly city, it is about an hour in a half.

A shotgun can shoot up to 80 yards it it depends on what the choke is on the gun.
It is possible for a human to choke on its tongue. It cannot be swallowed though, but it can make you vomit. It is quite hard to choke on it but it is very possible.Nope! :)

I'm not sure but I heard from my mate that he tried to do the triangle choke on viscera but couldn't get his legs round his head peoperly and ended up doing that choke hold and just keeps using it all the time. Actually, that particular choke hold is called an Oma Plata; an often used choke in both Brazilian Ju Jitsu and the far more popular MMA.
The carburetor does not have a choke plate ahead of the throttle plate the way other normal carburetors do. The choke on the 25 hp V twin is supposed to operate by way of the carb vacuum. The bad news is that it does not work very well. Mine I have to pull it far too many times to start.
