There are many different sizes and types of nozzles and hoses can be operated at different pressures, elevations and angles, so there is a lot of variation in the maximum squirt distance.
However, designs for placement of dry standpipe connections within buildings are designed so that no point in the building is more than 130 feet from the nearest standpipe outlet, based upon 100 feet of hose with at LEAST a 30-foot stream.
We recently operated a 1 3/4-inch hose at 50psi with a straight tip, 1 1/8-inch nozzle and had a "reach" of approximately 70 feet. It is certainly possible to get them twice that far, if not more.
