how far does a 50 caliber sniper rifle shoot accuratly
how far does 380 bullet travel
as far as it wants
It depends on the caliber and the barrel length. Also, the "effective range" is not the same as how far a bullet will travel.A .22 can fly more than a mile, but it has no "stopping power" at that range.
Which caliber?
Rossi is coming close with a single shot rifle ( the wizard) with interchangable barrels. They boast 21 different combos and include shotguns. As far as a gun that can shoot everything from a 17 HMR to a 50 caliber bullet the answer is no.
Depends on the Caliber and grain of bullet. You can shoot a .22 m4 accurately probably 100-150 yards. Then with the 5.56/.223 round can be shot 600-659 yards accurately.
About 3,400 yards.
In excess of a mile Since there are many different loads of cartridges even for same caliber, type of Ammo used will determine how far bullet will travel.
Accurately? About 100-150 yards. How far can the bullet travel? Fired at a 34 degree angle, about a mile and a half. No accuracy, just total possible travel.
In the days of black powder, muzzle-loading firearms, a large caliber lead bullet was standard- somewhere around .69 caliber. While this was good for deer and bear, it was far too powerful for small game, such as squirrel. A much smaller caliber rifle was developed, typically firing a .32 or smaller bullet. This was far less destructive of the meat of small game, and cost far less to shoot. These smaller caliber guns became nicknamed "Squirrel rifles".
@ 3 miles
About 3,400 yards.
