Yes, there was at least a variety of black bears that roamed the riverbeds as far in Colorado as Sterling. I am not sure of Nebraska, as I am a native of Colorado, and have researched the area. The Plains Indians had in-depth folklore and mythology associated with Bear, so you might want to research that. As far as Grizzlies, and Brown bears, I know of no examples to go off of to prove (or not) their existence out on the Great Plains, sorry. *** Actually, I think there might have been.
I think the credit for this would have to go to the Sioux.
Canada is a beautiful country and very safe to travel. It has much natural beauty with waterfalls, mountains, forests, and plains.
the people of the great plains mainly used tepees for shelter. Go towww.saskschools.ca/~gregory/firstnations/tipi.html . It was quite useful
Well there are many plains to look at so I suggest just go on google and search it up on images.
The Great Plains go through 10 states:Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico. Those are the only plains in the USA!!!!
the best place to go is the rocky mountains in Canada or the himalayans ...(Canada is far nicer though)
