The distance between Birmingham, West Midlands, and Dorset is 184mi, (297km), and with an experienced driver and reasonable traffic conditions it will take approximately 3 hours 26 minutes of driving time. Allow at least another 45 minutes in heavy traffic. I disagree strongly about the times on the A34 nd the A36. No chsnce of achieving those times except possibly in the early hours of the morning; even then you would need to drive way past the speed limit in parts.
