Around 2050-2000 BC, the great kingdom of the Sumerians was attacked by external invaders. Sumeria had been a powerful kingdom in the western part of Asia, and it had roughly occupied the land that was one day to become Babylonia. The history of Babylonia is considered to have started with Hammurabi, who became the king of the city of Babylon in 1792 BC.
The Empire went as a far as Egypt to the lands of Turkey.
As far as we know, Sumerian was the first language to be written.
Hammurabi, the Babylon, conqueredChadea. The country of Chadea was an ancient land in southern Babylonia, on the Persian Gulf near the delta of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. In biblical times the name was applied to all of Babylonia. As far as can be traced, the Chaldeans themselves descend from Shem's son, Arphaxad, who is also an ancestor of Abraham and Israel.

As far as I know, the first batteryish thing was created in ancient times.
Technology has become far more important since ancient times as it has advanced. In ancient times, it was less important as there were almost no technologies available.
Unfortunately we do not know.As far as I know nobody has found the location of the famous Hanging Gardens. All that we can surmise from the historical record was that it used to exist in the city of Babylon (now Baghdad, Iraq). But as far as I know historians and archeologists have not found its whereabouts or ruins. The Hanging Gardens were one of the seven world wonders of the ancient world. The only wonder of the ancient world still standing today is the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt.
I am assumeing that you mean ancient written languages, because Indo European is too far back to place but the first written language was Sumerian then Egyptian Heiroglyphics followed by Linear A (Greek we think as it still has not been deciphered) and then Phonecian.
around 2000 miles
The cities of Babylon and Nineveh were two of the most important cities of ancient mesopotamia. The ruins of Nineveh are located on the outskirts of the city of Mosul in northern Iraq. The ruins of Babylon are located nearby the city of Hillah in central Iraq. The distance between the cities is approximately 510 Kilometers (317 miles).
They did not because they were too far away south.
No the Nile is in Egypt, far away from Babylon which is in Iraq. The Iraqi Babylon which is the famous city of the Bible, is close to the river Euphrates. However there was a part of the old city of Cairo which was known as Babylon and that would have been quite close to the Nile. It should not be confused with biblical Babylon.
