Tenaya is in the park and near the entrance. It is nice, but the Awanahee on the valley floor is wonderful. Go there for lunch or dinner. The dining room has floor to ceiling windows facing the granite walls and trees. Teddy Roosevelt stayed there while president and the hotel has old world charm that only places like it can have If you are coming in from highway 41 make a stop at Bass Lake and go to Ducy's for lunch or dinner. It has a view of the lake and the food is good. Oakhurst is also a good stop for shopping and fast food or gas.
