The maximum level should be shown on the dipstick it is the top mark nearest to the dipstick handle. the lower mark is minimum level.
Use the dipstick. The oil level should be between the upper and the lower lines on the dipstick when bike is standing upright on a level surface.
Dipstick should be marked
Anything above max or full is not recommended.
Usually there are makings on the Dipstick that tell you where the oil level needs to be. there are usually cold and hot markings on the stick. As long as the oil level is within the cold and hot range then you have plenty of oil. (usually the amount of oil is about 1/2 an inch to an inch on the bottom of the dipstick if there are no markings.)
Remove the oil filler cap and there should be a dipstick attached to the cap
According to the 2001 Lincoln Town Car Owner Guide : With the vehicle on level ground , and the engine having not run for 10 minutes ( the oil level on the engine oil dipstick should be in the cross hatched area between the ( 2 ) holes in the dipstick )
you take out the dipstick, dipstick.
3 quarts,.. depending on the level of oil the dipstick displays..
Engine oil dipstick is accessed under the drivers seat. Release the seat, tilt back, pull up the access cover. The engine oil dipstick is there along with the Automatic Transmission dipstick (if it applies). Vehicle should be on level ground.
If your 330i is a 2006 model or newer, it does not have an oil dipstick. Otherwise, check the oil dipstick for oil level.
Make sure you are putting the dipstick in all the way. It could be that your oil level is so low that it is not yet showing on the dipstick.
