I can get mine up to fifty five little more if I push it.
its where you put your dirt bike or ATV in 2nd gear to make it start by pushing it fast or going down a steep hill ..
My 1997 Dodge Avenger automatic transmission stays in 2nd gear a the time. What seams to be the problem?
If second is the only gear that does not work, there is an internal failure. The transmission will need repaired or replaced.
Need a new gearbox. You get a grinding noise only in first gear when you accelerate fast . second gear and the rest should be fine.
I am having the same problem and have not taking the car to the shop yet
Have the transmission computer checked for codes. It will lock into 2nd gear when a malfunction is detected.
When the trans computer has detected a problem it will default into 2nd gear. You need to have the system checked for codes.
If the transmission fluid level is ok your clutch might be worn out.
The real problem is manually shifting from gear to gear with an automatic transmission. If you are referring to the automatic upshift, there may be a problem with the EGR system or vacuum system.
if u have a 4 cluch and u want to o fast like over jumps or something u should be in 4th gear and if u only have a 2 clch then i guess 2nd gear
I think it;s called the shift solenoid in the transmission!
2nd gear is what the transmission uses when there is trouble it is called limp-in mode.get to a dealer.something wrong with transmission.could be a sensor is bad could be internal trans issue
