Probably Crappie, but when cleaning white bass make sure to cut out the red meet. It makes the fish taste real gammy.

Sardis Lake, located near Clayton, Oklahoma, has excellent large mouth bass, small mouth bass, catfish, spotted bass, striped bass, white bass, and walleye fishing. Bass and crappie fishing is very productive just about anywhere on this lake but is most productive on the bridge by the campsites using live whole minnows, not cut. Fishing is also good on the shore on the camp grounds using minnows or lures such as spinners and spoons in the early morning. Crappie jigs are effective for crappie at mid day fishing off the dock or off the shore. Twisters are partially effective for bass and crappie at daytime off the shore. Catfish fishing is great in early morning, noon, and night in murky waters in the lake. Use worms at night. Minnows prove very effective in the daytime. Be prepared and have good equipment because catfish here are big and heavy. Walleye fishing is good in the morning through noon using flies, worms, plastic worms, and twisters soaked in walleye attractant which can be bought at bass pro shops. It smells kind of like garlic. Fish for Walleyes off the shore near the camp grounds.
The most popular fish are Bass and Perch when fishing off the Jersey Coast. Swordfish and Marlin can be caught in deep waters.

Because "common names" are not common at all. For example, the Promoxis annularis's "common name" is White Crappie (a game fish). However, where I grew up, in central Louisiana, it was called a White Perch. If I used the term White Perch here in Virginia, it would mean something entirely different to anglers here. Still further south in Louisiana, Cajuns call the the fish a Sac-au-Lait (French for "sack of milk"). Other names for the White Crappie (which may include the closely related species Promoxis nigromaculatus - Black Crappie) are Papermouth, Calico Bass, and Specks.
