Unfortunatly, MotorStorm is not multiplayer, but MotorStorm Pacific Rift which came out October 28, 2008 (yesterday) is! It's up to 4 players.

How do you get to multiplayer on motorstorm?
Motorstorm (the original game) does not actually support offline multiplayer. In order to access online multiplayer simply select 'Online' in the main menu and fllow the on screen instructions. It will sometimes take a short time in order for the 'Online' button to be selectable after initially loading the main menu, but it should appear soon enough, providing you have access to the internet and are signed into PSN. Motorstorm: Pacific Rift supports 4 player offline racing.
