They are good--190hp, 22-28mpg, easy & cheap to fix, VQ30DE (V6 3.0L) motors are indestructible, and the timing chains (just about) never need service, which is good--They have rust issues in certain areas (fenders, rockers and underbody) but it depends how much snow you get in your area, and if you take care of it before it gets bad you have nothing to worry about--I have owned two 4th gen (1995-1999) Nissan Maximas and enjoyed them both--TRY to find one with under 80k mi on it, and dont buy a rot box--the stick shift is great if you can drive it--I got rid of my first one when it had 180,000mi and it ran strong as ever, and was as dependable as anything I have driven--After I did, I bought a 99 cuz I wanted the 5 speeeeed

The park plug gap for a 1999 Nissan Maxima is between 0.039 and 0.043 in. Even though most plugs come pre gapped it is always a good idea to double check gaps.
The fuel pressure fuse for the 1995 Nissan Maxima is in the fuse compartment left and below of the steering wheel. It is marked on the compartment cover. Pull it out with needle nose pliers. Try to start the car. When the car does not start pressure is relieved. It is a good idea to also open the gas cap to let out tank pressure. Push the fuse in by hand when done.
