1983, and they are delish!a great recipe:Sesame Encrusted Manatee Steaks1/4 cup black sesame seeds1/2 cup white sesame seeds4 (6 ounce) manatee steak, 1 inch thicksalt & freshly ground black pepper2 tablespoons grapeseed oil or 2 tablespoons canola oil1 In a shallow dish, combine the two types of sesame seeds and stir to mix.2 Season the Manatee with salt and pepper and dredge in the sesame seeds, coating the tuna evenly.3 In a non stick pan, warm the oil until smoking, arrange the manatee steaks in the pan (making sure not to overcrowd) and cook until the white sesame seeds start to turn golden underneath (around 1 minute).4 Carefully turn the manatee over and cook for about another minute.5 Transfer the Manatee Steaks to a cutting board and cut into 1/4 inch thick slices.6 Serve immediately.
