You can't really drop out. You have to make them not want you, and that's not to hard. Just openly defy them, walk away, or sit down when they are yelling at you. Urinate during formation. A week or two of that and you're on your way home.

It should be as hard or harder than your limits. It is designed to find your limits and try to push you to the edge of what you can endure (or cause you to quit). It is mentally and physically challenging. It is designed to be hard, so you can be prepared for what will be expected of you. It is much less painful to endure a training sergeant yelling at you, cram for evaluation events, and put up with the discomfort of a little physical exercise than it would be to catch a bullet in your chest or head because you were not prepared. Yes, it is hard! That is the point!

Basic is to easy, it is more mental than physical, you mind will always quit before your body will. The USMC is currently the most difficult to get into. USMC basic training is arguably the hardest boot camp of all branches. Sorry dude, but SEAL training is ridiculously hard, and even though Marines definitely train like hell, SEALs take the cake. Also, surprisingly few people are actually kicked out SEAL training, the vast majority D.O.R. (drop on request) cause it's too hard. SEAL training is SPECIAL FORCES. Look at the answer: toughest BOOT CAMP (BASIC). No doubt SEAL training is the toughest but, for basic the CORPS is the toughest, even SEALS have to go through BASIC. I agree.
