Times in the Industrial Revolution were very hard. Instead of going to school children were forced to work in factories. Inventions like the Cotton Gin, which cleans cotton, made farmers and farming obsolete so farmers were forced to move to cities to find work. Cities eventually became over populated. Much more happened in the Industrial Revolution. If you have anymore questions simply ask.

The amount of difficulty varied depending on where people lived and the economic status they were. The Industrial Revolution produced a new, strong middle class that enjoyed much wealth, and became a type of untitled aristocracy. The poor, however, saw things get even worse. Many flocked to the cities to compete for factory jobs, and had to live in squalid tenements with conditions that negatively affected them and their families.
