The current warming trend we see now started about 10,000 years ago. This warming is approximately 11 degrees C over the entire span. This means glaciers have been melting for about 10,000 years and receding. This water must go somewhere, so we have been seeing oceans rise over the past several thousands of years.

Because carbon dioxide always follows temperature. As temperature goes up, we know that CO2 will also start to rise. This is the observed case. Over the past 10,000 years we have indeed seen a rise in the overall levels of CO2.

With an increase in temperatures and CO2, we see a corresponding increase in plant life.

In fact it is extremely dangerous. The greenhouse effect, which has kept the earth warm enough for life for millions of years is crucial to earth. But the greenhouse effect is not the same as global warming.
