Over time, more and more things have been added to the game. The game has been through several phases of development, starting in 2009 with Classic, then onto Indev (In Development), then Infdev (Infinite Development), followed by Alpha, Beta and from 2011 we are on the Official Releases. Currently, the version is 1.9.4 and things that have been added just recently are the elytra, end cities, shields, beetroot and many more. In the very first version, 0.0.9a, the only things in the game were air, grass and cobblestone.
