Look at the map and you'll see why, it covers a large area. That's why you have Mediterranean North Africa, the Sahara and sub-Saharan Africa. Basically, its existence confined ancient empires to the Mediterranean coast, and in general limited contact between the Mediterranean world and the African interior. A certain amount of trade took place, and the Moselm religion was eventually able to cross the desert, but until the 19C it was exceedingly rare for any state to control territories both north and south of the Sahara.

(Look at the map and you'll see why) looking at a map of Africa gives no indication of any division. As a matter of fact looking at the map will only show you the illusionary divisions of states. I say illusionary because those states are not made up in a natural way. (its existence confined ancient empires to the Mediterranean coast) this is another fallacy, the state now known as Israel formally Palestine was once [for lack of a better term] suburb of the so-called state of Egypt which was originally called Kem. Also to see just how far back in history this confinement was breached

(A certain amount of trade took place) it was not an abundance of trade because non-Africans were not permitted within the limits of kam. But many years prior to the fall of kem many different races build communities on the edge of that great nation by the Mediterranean. And many more came to study the sciences of kem. As a matter of fact many of the great European thinkers of the day where educated in Kem.

According to history Pythagoras received his training in Kem,we are also told a thales along with his associates, Anaximander and Anaximenes who were natives of Ionia in Asia minor also got their training there. {Sanford's the Mediterranean world p. 195-205} also check out the book Stolen Legacy : George G.M.James (reading is fundamental !)

(until the 19C it was exceedingly rare for any state to control territories both north and south of the Sahara) for most of its existence kemet or the black land, ( as it was called by its inhabitants) alternated its rule between the North which we now call Egypt and the South which is still known as Ethiopia. and the crown of its chief priest the so called Pharaoh, wore a double headed crown to attest to that fact. Yeah yeah that all is true but it help us to have churches and not mosques.
