bonjour
No,since the sirrius is part of the satellite it should be fine
It is part of the security on the car, if someone pulled the radio they could never get it to work. When the car loses power, it resets. The code is in your owner's manual for your car.
Most car radios have a fuse on the back where the plugs are. Check the fuse to see if it was blown or smell around the car radio you might catch a burnt smell also
The amplitude of the sound waves increases when you increase the volume on a car radio. Amplitude is directly related to the loudness or volume of the sound.
You need to enter your radio code, it should have been supplied with the vehicle and or written in the front of the owners manual.

The radio that is installed in the car.
put in the stock radio, does your car start, if it does then its the radio causing the problem, if not then more problems then the radio. if it does start with the stock radio in i would think the aftermarket radio is causing some kind of fault in the car, perhaps the radio is sending a faulty message in the i-bus telling the car not to start. i would jump out any bus wires so they are not routed through the aftermarket radio and see what happens. good luck.
OK, I changed the radio on mine and it was the worst thing to do. After I put the after market radio in the car, it started to act up. The a/c wouldn't cool and sometime the car wouldn't unlock with the remote, I would have to do it manually. I asked around and it ends up that the original radio is like the heart of the car and there isn't a module to substitute it. From experience don't change it.
I had the same problem and it was found that the built in radio/CD player was the problem, I had to replace the radio and cigarette lighter. All is well now, check out your radio as fuses kept blowing till i changed the radio.
By changing the battery, you erased your car's computer presets. Your car probably has an anti-theft radio, that locks when power is lost to it, and requires a factory security code to unlock it. The code might be in a section of the owner's manual, but if you cannot find it, you have to go to a new car dealership and have them reset the radio.
