If an organism is already well suited to its environment, there is no need for it to change or 'adapt'. This can be seen in sharks and crocidiles, they have changed very little over thousands of years and are the top predators in their environment, as such they have not changed as they have not had to. The culture has not changed over the years but today there is less and less people visiting because they are being forgoten to tourists, The state of their village is poor because their income is less, so they cannot afford to upgrade their villge.
