Space suits
There is no atomosphere or atmospheric pressure. Without atomspheric pressure the astronauts blood would boil.
They wear extra warm suits since the atmosphere is thinner and they have weights in their boots so they don't float away!
Temperature, atmospheric pressure, gravity.
On the Moon there is no atmosphere, so there is nothing to breathe. In addition we need the pressure of the air on our bodies. We also need protection from the extremes of temperature found there.
they wear them to hold them down because there is no gravity in space they are called gravity boots
Space suits
they wear boots and other heavy and thick shoes
As astronauts reach in space, they are given the command that they can remove their heavy suits and change their clothes. They wear the same clothes as they wear on earth, once they reach perfectly in space.
The moon, like a lot of galactic space is an extremely hostile environment to almost all forms of life including people of planet earth! Along with a spacesuit suitably designed for off-planet use, an astronaut needs moon boots that will also withstand the harsh conditions outside of earth's delicate, yet protective atmosphere. The moon itself is made up of mostly moon-rock & moon-sand. Moon boots need to be tough enough to protect the astronaut's foot from moon-rock. They need to be supportive around the ankle to help prevent any unneeded ankle injuries with insulation throughout the boot warm enough to keep the astronaut's entire foot area & lower leg area snuggly safe from the instant-freeze cold yet with comfy cool protection from the direct sunlight that would cook the body to a crisp in an instant if exposed! In summary, moon boots need to protect the general foot area of an astronaut from a variety of hazards that range from having the potential to cause mild discomfort to loss of limb or possibly death! Remember astronauts.. always put your moon-boots on before going for a spacewalk! ;)
