It is very important. Sleep is very important for memory. In fact, while sleeping, the subject see what he learned in the day in dreams. While he is sleeping, the heart and other organisms are slowing down their activities. Sleep is crucial for a child because the body is growing and developing while sleeping. People who don't sleep, tend to forget things, they are tired and their intellectual capacities are reduced.

But there is a rare sickness where a person can't sleep (this is not insomnia) and does not feel the need to sleep. His memory works normaly, he is not tired and his intellectual capacities are normal.

Because of this disease, scientifists wonder why healty people that don't sleep develop memory problem, are tired and their intellectual capacities are decreased while people who has this desease don't need sleep at all.
