because it has thousands if not millions of different resources that can help you out. even though it may have many distractions (ex. facebook, myspace, games, etc.) it can fill you with more knowledge that any book that was ever written. It can also help you do many of your daily activities.

If you are a student, you would use the internet rather than going to the library or going through the newspapers and magazines. Why? Using the internet saves time and money and your physical energy.

If you are a scientist, you would use the internet to find materials,kits and chemicals on Amazon, eBay or other online stores. You would not go through 100 stores and call 100 different companies.

Thus, people need the internet now days.
