Argentina is shaped roughly like a Triangle, with its base at approximately the latitude of the Tropic of Capricorn (roughlyl 23° S) and its apex at the southern tip of Tierra del Fuego Island (approx. 55°S).
Its western side is set along the Andes and its eastern side is formed by the South Atlantic Ocean, the River Plate and the Uruguay River.
