Julius Caesar is the uncle of Augustus Caesar and later adopted son and heir.
Octavian, the man who would become Augustus, was Julius Caesar's great nephew. He was the son of Caesar's niece, Atia, who was the daughter of Caesar's sister, Julia. Making Octavian more popular among the supporters of the slain Julius Caesar was the fact that Julius Caesar adopted Octavian as his son.

No.

Augustus Caesar (63BC-14AD) , previously known Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus, was a lower-class great-nephew of Julius Caesar (100BC-44BC) and was adopted by him.

On Julius Caesar's death at the hands of the conspirators in 44BC Octavian, as Julius Caesar's adopted son, took over the reins of power. He became the first Roman emperor in 27BC and was awarded the title of Augustus in 23BC. he had no balls

1: Bloodline; Augustus was Julius's great nephew whom he adopted as his heir. 2: Rule; They were both generals in the army before being raised to a ruling status. Also they both ruled in "triumvirates" (both were in a group of 3 generals sharing the position of dictator). Both triumvirates ended the same way as well; both rulers found themselves battling their fellow triumvirate members for complete power.

No.

  1. Julius Caesar was the not a Roman Emperor. He was assassinated in 44 BC.
  2. Augustus (Octavian) Caesar was the first Roman Emperor. 31 BC to AD 14.
  3. Tiberius Caesar was the second Roman Emperor. AD 14 to AD 37.
  4. Caligula Caesar was the third Roman Emperor. AD 37 to AD 41.
  5. Claudius Caesar was the fourth Roman Emperor. AD 41 to AD 54.
  6. Nero Caesar was the fifth Roman Emperor. AD 54 to AD 68.
  7. After Nero from AD 68 to AD 69 there were four different Emperors, in rapid succession.

Roman men tended to have long names, so several Emperors did include Julius as one of their names. But not Nero, who was born Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus, upon becoming Emperor he changed his name to Nero Claudius Caesar (to imply lineage from Julius Caesar).

After Nero, Caesar simply became a title that Emperors and Kings took, and was no longer the family name used up to that point.

King Caesar sounds like something out of a fiction story. Julius Caesar was a real person. However the term "king Caesar" may have been used to refer to Julius Caesar in a derogatory way especially with the Roman attitude toward kings.
