There may have been a time when he was a good leader, but these days, his reign is all about maintaining a total grip on power.
Barack Obama, on the other hand, is not a brutal dictator, contrary to what you may hear on Talk Shows. He is the president of a democracy, and that means he has both supporters and detractors; views about the president are very polarized, as they were under President Bush. But there is no similarity between President Mugabe and President Obama other than the fact that both are black. Mr. Obama does not jail his detractors, nor does he try to eliminate those who disagree with him. President Obama is thus a better leader because he allows the democracy to flourish, encourages free expression of ideas, tries to promote policies to grow the economy, and does not want success to only be for the privileged few.
