For one thing, Dr. King is dead, while Mr. Obama is still alive. For another, Dr. King was a minister, while Mr. Obama was never a member of the clergy. And the biggest difference is that Dr. King lived under segregation, while Mr. Obama never did-- in fact, Dr. King, as one of the leaders of the Civil Rights Movement, helped to end segregation so that the next generation, which included Barack Obama, would have more opportunities in life.
