How is Barack Obama different from other presidents?

He has qualities that many presidents have shared, but has some obvious differences from his predecessors. His oratory skills are highly developed and he is able to connect well with people of all races, backgrounds, economic groups and levels of education. Like many past presidents, he is very intelligent and has a law degree, but his knowledge of the Constitution is likely much greater than most prior presidents since he taught Constitutional law at the University level.

He takes his jacket off and rolls up his sleeves and works directly on many problems himself rather than delegating them. He understands the needs of working and lower income people as he was raised by a single mother without a high income. Unlike other Presidents who came from privileged homes.

He inherited more major problems than many other presidents combined to have to deal with at the start of his term, such as the debt, the economy, banking industry fraud, unemployment, wars in multiple locations, hatred of America by many people in the world due to prior administrations' strained relationships, oil spills, pollution, global warming, etc. With things looking better on many of the huge inherited problems now, he is also different in that he has accomplished much with little help and much obstruction.
