In Buddhism you let dharma work for you or as I say life teaching.. the word Dharma is the teaching of Buddha but also teaching of other bodhisattvas. Dharma is the main focus but not the only mediation is also a useful tool in learning Dharma. When your in mediation you clear the mind and focus on the breath. You also let go of eye focus, ear focus, taste focus, smell focus and touch focus. This clears the mind of worldly things each one is part of your human nature. These are also the teaching of Buddha, these are what is the first root of suffering not letting go, but not always the cause of suffering. Some causes of suffering is in actions done in ones life. By these actions you cause other actions this is karma. You live by right thought, right speech, right actions. As Buddhist you learn that you live to help others no matter the case. That human happiness is more important then any thing in this life. That ones actions my cause harm to others even if it maybe good for you. To teach but also learn at the same time. That all human health is good for all humans. To live in a positive world even if this body is sick, weak, suffering of age, tired of daily work, and hungry.
