Of course, a scene is more or less memorable depending on how it is staged and performed. Even the best play can be forgettable in the hands of hacks. Shakespeare does his best to make this moment memorable, however, by heightening the language through the roof. When Shakespeare wanted to raise the emotional stakes in a scene he would put the dialogue in blank verse. If he wanted to raise it higher, he put the blank verse into rhyming couplets. At the moment Romeo and Juliet meet, they go beyond this--their conversation is actually a Sonnet.
