What is the difference between regular and plasma TV?

regular and plasma T.V are bascilly the same BUT plasma you can watch T.V

in high denfention and watch it live while also stop and rewinding it but with normal

T.V all you get is just Four channels and plasama you get a misture (This only or might happen if you have Sky... I think).

LCD stands for liquid crystal display and LCD TVs use liquid crystals to give off their display while plasma TVs show display by the technology utilizing small cells containing electrically charged ionized gases (or what is also more commonly known as fluorescent lamps). And another famous difference is that plasma TVs can get hot and can make the area around the TV just as hot in a few minutes.

Liquid crystal does not produce any light. The crystal acts like a shutter, allowing or blocking light through. The light is provided by cold cathode flourescent lamps (CCFL), or more recently, white LED's (Light Emitting Diodes), shining through from behind the liquid crystal layer.

A plasma TV uses a glowing, plasma gas, held in tiny glass cells, which actually provide the light directly. The screens get hot, due to the hot plasma. The screens are hard to make and very delicate. If you bend the screen (when carrying it) it is possible to crack the glass containing the gas and cause a dead pixel.

In both technologies, the individual cells are grouped in three colours, Red, green and blue. Which gives a full colour display. With all three cells turned on, the three colours produce WHITE light.
