Dominant allele is the allele that appears to be seen in appearance or takes over a recessive allele eg.(TT) but in the recessive allele, the phenotype which is the appearance will not be seen eg.(tt). in easier words dominant is stronger than the recessive allele.

A recessive allele is different from recessive allele by;

  1. A reccesive allele requires both allele partners to be reccesive to express itself while dominant allele can express it even if only one of allele pairs is dominant . For example :a reccessive allele (r)if have rr on both allele pairs than it expresses itself on the other hand dominant (R) expresses it in both Rr and RR .
  2. In short ,dominant allele can mask the expression of reccesive allele in hetrozyguos (Rr) condition and expresses it .
  • **NOTE:**The relation of dominant and reccesive allele in hetrozygote condition is of different types depending upon organism thus dominant not always dominats it may completely, partially, or excessively express itself depending upon organism.

When an allele is dominant, the characteristic it is connected to will be expressed in an individual. When an allele is recessive, the characteristic it is connected to is less likely to be expressed. Recessive traits only manifest when both alleles are recessive in an individual.

Recessive alleles are defective in some way, so they cannot express there trait normally. Dominant alleles are normal and so they expresses better.

Why do inherited diseases like hemophilia and cystic fibrosis occur?

They are caused by the genes that we inherit from our parents. Genes govern how our body is run. Cystic fibrosis is caused by a recessive alle. This means that both parents must be carriers of the alle responsible for cystic fibrosis. The parents don't have to have the condition themselves; they can be just carriers of the one alle that makes up the condition.
