Aluminum is made from a clay called bauxite, which contains aluminum oxide, or alumina. The bauxite is then refined to separate the pure alumina out. The alumina is then electrified to produce liquid aluminum which is cast into aluminum ingots.

just looking at the name you can tell it is made of phosphorus and something else this something else is pentoxide. the next bit is the tricky part, well the

-ide tells us that there is no additional oxygen. but now im stuck sorry i dont know what the perntox bit is its now an element. :S at least i cant see it on the table. im really sorry :(
