What is the atomic structure of carbon fiber reinforced polymer?

the square root of 1 million times the number of fibers = the Crystal structure.

Does steel occur naturally in nature?

Steel does not occur naturally. Steel is an alloy of Iron and Carbon and other elements. Iron when smelted actually contains too much carbon and other impuities to be steel. Iron with over 2.1% is called cast iron which while strong is brittle, it can be cast into shape but not beaten or formed into shape and does not have the flexibility of steel. The simplest, and earliest way of making steel was to heat iron until it was soft then beating it to drive out impurities, oxygen, and carbon, then reheating it in the presence of carbon, originally charcoal nowadays coke, a product of coal, then beating it again until the proper amount of carbon remains. The process is repeated several times. An advancement was the crucible method where iron and carbon were repeatedly and slowly melted , cooled, and remelted in a container. Modern methods use precisely measured amounts of iron, carbon, and other elements in various types of furnaces. It is conceivable that a small amount of natural steel could occur if conditions were perfect, pure iron melted by tectonic forces, a volcano say, in the presence of the proper amounts of carbon and other elements, in the absence of oxygen. If it happens at all natural steel would be very rare.

What is the strongest natural fibre?

Spider silk is the strongest natural fibre ever known as it is six times stronger than steel by equivalent mass and it can stretch 50% of its length before it breaks.

What acid is the strongest?

Carborane superacid or H(CHB11Cl11)icosahedrane core consisting of one carbon atom and eleven boron atom. Each boron atom is bonded to a chlorine atom and the whole cluster of boron, chlorine, and carbon atoms is paired with a proton, which is attached on the carbon.Carborane superacid is near 1000 times stronger than fluorosulfonic acid or FSO3H which is millions of times stronger than Sulfuric Acid or H2SO4.Fluoro - Antimonic SuperacidChemists have crated a superacid called fluoro - antimonic (flewer - ro - anti - mon - ic) acid with twenty thousand trillion (20,000,000,000,000,000,000) times the dissolving power of the most concentrated sulphuric acid.

How can car companies get the benefit from using carbon fiber?

The key benefit of carbon fiber is its impressive strength-to-weight ratio. Beyond its advantages compared to aluminum, which we mentioned above, carbon fiber is five times lighter and 10 times stronger than typical steel.

Diamond! is the common answer Graphene is the real answer and it's 200 times stronger than steel

Is carbon heavy?

Carbon fiber is actually very light. Five times lighter than steel, and just as strong

What material to use for rockets?

Rockets are made of a very light but 60 times stronger material than steel called Carbon Shaft...There are other materials also but all are made of Carbon elements and are known as Carbon metals. Now research is going on to make use of Glass fiber to make Spacecrafts.

yes the hemp plastic, it is up to ten times stronger

Carbon nanotubes are five times stronger than steel and better electrical conductors than copper what is a possuble use for carbon nanotubes?

They are put in paint to strengthen vehicles or sometimes used in nanometer sized electronics.

Is steel stronger than aluminum?

It heavily depends on which type of stainless steel you're referring to and what your definition of strong is. High carbon and perhaps plain carbon steels would be harder then austenite and ferritic stainless, but martensitic stainless would be harder then plain/high carbon. Austenite and ferritic stainless would be tougher and austenite would have have highest degree of corrosion resistance. I consider a steel to be "strong" if it has a balance of hardness and toughness in which case,I would say martensitic stainless steels.

What is 5 times harder than a metal?

What is 5 times stronger than metal? Steel - Because steel is a compound which steel is like a hard rock! Unbreakable! Steel can be even harder then ever which means it can be stronger then 5 more like 100 but that is only SOME types! Steel is way harder, yes 5 times harder!

Can graphene cut the earth in half?

No

Which one is harder glass or iron?

On the Mohs hardness scale glass is harder than steel. Mohs hardness tests the ability of one material to scratch another. Steel is rated 4 to 4.5 and glass is rated at 6 to 7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohs_scale_of_mineral_hardness Glass is harder than steel, but it is more fragile and will break much easier. There are many different ways to measure strength. Here is a wikipedia article about the strength of materials: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strength_of_materials
