I'm reading here in wikipedia that eucalyptol helps clear chest congestion and nasal blockages. I'm trying it right now and it seems to be working; I've put a few drops in boiling water and the vapours seem to be clearing my throat. I've tried just about everything else so I hope this'll do the job. I noticed I didn't get a horrible reaction to it the way I did with the oil of oregano, garlic, and onions- maybe this is a good sign. Note that too much over too long a period may cause liver issues, I've read.
