Fusion is melting. It's just a different, more fancy, word for the same thing.
Fusion is the blending of elements and can only be achieved by melting. Welding by definition is fusion. Brazing ,soldering etc are non fusing.
It depends on the density of the substance. The higher the density, the higher the melting point and vise versa.
melting.. or fusion.
This is the transformation of a solid in a liquid (melting).
For forming it is Heat of (Fusion) and for melting its Heat of (Vaporization).
Fusion Melting = fusing

heat of fusion
First, melting is the phase change of solid to liquid and evaporation is the phase change of liquid to gas. Second, Evaporation requires more energy than melting. Evaporation, heat of vapoization constant, is 2260 J/g. Melting, the heat of fusion constant, is 334 J/g.
This is called the melting point (symbol Tm).The melting point is different for different elements, compounds, and materials. Some solids, wax for example, has a relatively low melting point, while the melting point of some alloys, such as steel, is very high. The melting point of ice is the freezing point of water, subject to the enthalpy of fusion (the heat of fusion).
